It is a bad bad bad drug. And bad doctors prescribe it for pain control which it is not.

It can be a dangerous drug and you must carefully wean yourself off of it. I didn't like that it messed with my brain.
My mother has taken it for years to deal with neuropathy caused by very severe osteoarthritis in her spine. It helps her pain a lot but I have to monitor her to make sure she takes it everyday without missing a dose. Otherwise she gets depressed and has pain.
I think that everyone is different. A lot of people swear by it too. Just relaying my experience with it.
