Yup. My hands too. I never had this problem before RA. My best guess is that it caused my inflammation in the wrists and ankles.

I have the same issue mostly in my hand to the point where if I bend my elbow for a minute or so, something must be getting pinched. I slept on it the other night had three finger tingle most of the day!

Yes if I sit too long my feet fall asleep my doctor says its from inflammation cutting off blood flow.

I have had this, we believe. We, in this case, are my Rheumy and me. I have nerve issues too, but because this falling asleep occures either when I have held them in a position that they don't likeor when I have inflammation of the wrist and ankles (and sometimes my entire leg!). It does the whole pins and needles, and hurts until it wakes up, if it positional. If it's from inflammation, if just gets better when the inflammation subsides.
Kinda strange how one causes pain when the pressure is released, and one doesn't, but I suppose that it may be because the positional one if a quick change, whereas the inflammation one is a slow change.

I also have this issue, both in hands and feet. It can happen so quickly and in positions that normally wouldn't cause the hand/feet to fall asleep.I have some permanent nerve damage due to carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve, so it makes sense that swelling or inflammation around those areas could put pressure on those nerves, causing those symptoms.

my feet do this when I walk. They get tingly then burn and ache. They also swell sometimes so bad I have trouble getting my shoes on. Usually it is only the bottoms of my feet. It sucks.

I am new here...and so thankful to have a place to vent and see that I am not alone....phew! I get hands and feet tingling ALL THE TIME. It sucks. Sometimes it wakes me up at night. I guess its circulation problems but I am not certain why with RA it is worse....sometimes also, my heel starts to burn. Strange. When my hands go numb and lose circulation my fingers start to turn in towards my wrist...looks like I am handicapped and can be debilitating at times..

I get this too. My hands fall asleep when I am holding the phone, my feet fall asleep if I sit without them elevated. Only recently have they started falling asleep while I am sleeping. My mom, who has had RA for over 5 years, says this is a big symptom of RA and she has yet to find a cure for it. From what I've read it's because the inflammation pinches on nerves.
