Needing some clarification and/or support....
I have previously been diagnosed w/Depression/Anxiety before my RA Dx (Diagnosis). At that time, I was being told I have Fibromyalgia and the depression was making my pain worse... I tried anti-depressants and Fibro drugs...
Stopped seeing that Dr. and moved on to my current Rheumy. He is the one who gave me my official RA Dx and started me on RA meds BEFORE he gave me the official Dx.
I've been battling depression for as long as I can remember, but I feel like I'm having a more difficult time now (Kind of like an RA Flare - Waves of depression come and go in severity and can last for a LONG while)
I know some of it probably has to do with the winter (although I do like winter!) and being "stuck inside" a lot but I kind of had a meltdown this weekend.
I am worried I'm going to go off the deep end soon if I don't get some relief/help. I have been told that RA pain and/or inflammation can worsen depression symptoms. Is this true?

Thanks for all the support and advice! I ended up going to the Psychiatric ER and was given a couple of meds to help until I can get into a Psychiatrist.
Unfortunately, I still have to find a doctor sooner than May because my prescriptions are only good for 60 days. :/
I'm so glad you got meds to hold you over, and I hope you find a doc by the end of your 60 days.
