I have to tell you all how great Im feeling the last week. Im praying it continues. I havent felt this good in my body since I got this disease. Ive been on 5 mgs prednisone and sulfasalizine 500 mgs twice a day. so far so great! thank you Lord

Way to go! How often do you have to get liver checked on it? That or plaquenil were what I wanted if I had to go on another Dmard.

It is an anitbiotic for the intestine. I couldn't take that med. Bad stomach crampsl

Hey Tina,
I was on 1000 mg twice a days for nine months, then they upped it to 1500 in the morning and 1000 at night.
To be honest, I haven't noticed any difference at either dose. I've been on it for 18 months now.

MTX started to help, but I'm back feeling like crap again.

It has salicylate (like aspirin) and sulfa (like the antibiotics) properties and is labeled as an anti-inflammatory.
