I am also down to 1 cup of tea in the AM but might have a caffeine free tea later. In the summer, I drink iced green tea and that seems to go down easy but I really need that little bit of caffeine in the AM.
You will find that even a tiny amount of caffeine will help to give you that morning lift once you get most of it out of your system. And blame RA, not the MTX.

Jen! Ah! Finally a RA'er that has nausea that is unexplained to. I couldn't blame meds or anything. It started way before my first symptoms. And when I Googled it...all I got back was caused my MTX. I don't really get side effects from MTX except the fatigue the day after. Could also be a mini nausea flare due to the tooth extraction pain. Can't a "flare" be any nuisance caused by RA? Maybe I'll do the decaf tea for a few days and see if it goes away. Then start the caffeine tea and see if it comes back. I LOVE my hot drink at 5:30 AM while I watch the news! ;)
Thanks Steve. Hopefully it was all just coincidence because darn it...I need my one and only cup. I bought the Tazo Awake blend. And I love tea with cream and sugar. Round #2.....lets see.
There are just too many facets to RA! It can hit us all so differently. That's the biggest thing I learned.
