I received a letter from my pharmacy refering me to a local rheumatologist who is conducting clinical trials on RA meds. He is not my rheumatologist. The literature says that I would have to be willing to go off my meds for this trial. That concerns me because I am afraid the intense pain would return. However, I would like to do something to help advance the medical knowledge about RA. I would not enter into this without my doctor's agreement. Have you ever taken part in a clinical trial for RA? If not, under what conditions would you consider it?
Why do you feel the need to be such a bully? They have therapists for that as well you know.

Stopflares, I would not participate in any clinical studies that were not conducted by my own rheumatologist. I once had an endocrinologist that was constantly running studies. She was also an absolutely brilliant endo. I'm sorry that I had to move away and lose her as my physician.
