There's enough support out there to say prednisone can help to initiate (some even say it causes it) the onset of type two diabetes of which itchy palms/hands can be one of the symptoms.
It's usually the meds that make mine itch but just so you aren't blind sided by another but highly treatable disease it's good to have it checked too. ;-)
I know it sounds tough, but RA is a difficult disease and we just have to get through it the best we can. Being aware of our treatment and the consequences is an important part of getting through it.
