My eyes are very sensitive to the sun, especially after taking my weekly meds. I cannot go outside during the day (even when cloudy) without sunglasses on or I get a headache almost immediately. Dry eyes also... I have read about the uveitis but have yet to see the eye doctor to see what new issues I may have.

Thank you Jen. My rheumy did mention Sjogrens a couple of visits ago. He thought it was there.
Markus, I did start MXT about a month ago, and it seems to have gotten worse since then. I took the grandkids out to plant some flowers today and after about 8 minutes, I was more than ready to come in. I guess I am going to have to invest in some sunglasses. I have never worn them before.

I also deal with Sjogren's and have found doing the drops and gel daily have helped a great deal. driving can be difficult in the summer so I finally went for the very dark sunglasses which helped a great deal. Also switching to an eye specialist would probably be helpful instead of a regular exam due to your R.A., there is a little more testing done to insure the health of the eye and optic nerve which can also degenerate from R.A.

Good to know. Thank you. When I see my Rheumy on Friday, I will have to ask him about this. I have never been given any eye drops, but they burn and hurt so much, maybe it would be a good thing.

My eyes are also light sensitive and frequently very dry. I started using eye drops regularly just recently.

I'm like Markus and cannot go outside without sunglasses even on a rainy day. I always think of that old song: I Wear my Sunglasses at Night" ;)
