Well, I went to the Rheumy today. Thank goodness he had the test results and notes from my USA dr. Even though my hands were experiencing burning pain and tenderness, plus pain when walking, the blood tests looked ok. X Rays were good as well. He said the Enbrel and mtx must be taking care of things. He also said that I shouldn't need pain meds. I immediately countered that! He did concede to give me 14 Hydrococone pil - the only pain med so far that has taken the edge off the pain. I mentioned the pain &stiffness in the fingertips, which he said was not a place for RA. He wasn't familiar with the Vectra DA test. I am thinking about going to the USA for Christmas and have it done if my stateside dr will prescribe it. He also suggested I see a neurologist to make sure that the burning& tingling isn't being caused by something else. I see the dr again at the end of the month. I'll bring along some pointed questions - hope his limited English won't be a factor in answering them. I know my options for finding a Dr here is a bit more limited, but it's important to me to know that the Dr listens not only to the tests, but also to me. Do you have any specific questions that you suggest I ask?
