Yes, but when it was connected to my carpal tunnel. After carpal tunnel surgery on each (prior to RA diagnosis), shoulders and arm fatigue went away.

Yeah, I have that as well. Not so much the arm but my shoulder hurts and I get exhausted physically. Luckily, I have a seat in my shower so I have been sitting and showering. I also have a dressing vanity that attach my "his and her" sinks in the bathroom so I brought a chair in and have been sitting while blow drying my hair and putting on my make up. However, some days its so bad that there is not any styling done to my hair and no makeup.

I guess I should just accept that this delightful disease is now in (almost) every joint and it tends to move around. As soon as I think I have it figured out I get a new symptom.

Yes. Mine was eventually diagnosed as bursitis which they say can be helped with PT. I read that it can be common in people with RA. I hope you get relief. It is difficult.

Yes, most mornings I cannot keep my hands up long to do my hair. This is why I just brush my hair back and put it in a scrungie. I fiddle with hair for long. Then I also cannot sit for hours in the hair dressers chair so I just manage my hair the best I can. I generally take baths because I am too tired to stand up in the shower and I have a whirlpool tub.

I did two wks ago to the pain doc. He said myofascial pain. Then again last week to rheumy who says shoulder pain is common with RA. I'm stuck in the circle from hell again.

My spine specialist got rescheduled because the rheumy lost my xrays and forgot to send my records. She also lost my reports from the pain Dr and chest xray/Tb test results for the Humira approval. (Which took me 2 mo of paperwork with the drug co). So I'm getting another chest xray next wk. She re-did the Tb test for free. But still delaying everything. I just started with her in Sept & she's rheumy #3 in 3 yrs. I get so tired of this. Makes me wonder if any drs/staff do their jobs anymore. Being in pain doesn't help my congeniality :-)

I go back to the pain Dr Jan 2 and Ive been doing trigger point release trying to get spasms to settle down. Relying on muscle relaxers & pain meds to get me through til then.

But I do think its nerve root compression based on the info you gave me. Now to see what the specialist says in mid January. My last mri did show stenosis and bulging at C6 which points to the area affected.
The arthritis is spreading. Not sure what if anything can be done but "keep me comfortable".

I use to be able to wash my hair just fine but then my arm started to get really tired like it was being weighed down. Since my hair was nearly upto my hips I cut it off thinking it was because I had long hair. I cut it uptil it was just past my shoulders but my arms still seemed to be tired. Now everytime I was my hair I have to take breaks between my shampoo and conditioner sinfe after shampoo my arms are already tired.
