I saw my rheumy today who is trying to find the right combination of meds. I can't take a biologic. Now I will be on Avara, prednisone , Plaquenil , sulfalasine , folic acid and Percocet if needed. Wow hurt to type all that. Lol. Has anyone tried avara?
Maybe this is the right combo.

I haven't tried Arava but my rheumy has mentioned several times adding it to the mix. He gave me some literature to read about it.

I hope this is your magic "meds cocktail", Sharon. I have been on all these meds you mention but not all at the same time.
I thought Arava was a good med but it sent my BP sky high - 210/120 -
so I had to stop. It can also affect liver enzymes (as MTX can also do) so I hope your Rheumy will do monthly blood tests to keep an eye on this.
Good luck - just remember that meds are as individual as RA is.
