Anyone with osteomyelitis?

I recently had an MRI done of my right hand as a seventh month follow-up to the MRI in April which clinched the RA diagnosis. I just picked up the report and it says "possibility of osteomyelitis is raised". From my brief research, that is infection in the bone caused from a bacteria. I have read so many posts of folks on this RA group having other complicated and co-existing conditions but I have never heard of this. Does anyone have any first hand info about this?

The only time this was raised as a possibility, was after I had surgery, and the bunion didn't heal. My family doc had me have a bone scan, which looks at the circulation to the foot, rather than at the actual bones. Fortunately, mine turned out to be fine, and the cause of the lack of fusion turned out to be severe oestoporous, caused by disuse.

If this is possible, I would advise you to press your doctor for a bone scan (assuming you have health coverage), and they can give you a sure answer.
