I have worn contacts for years and since I started on a biologic it seems my eyes don't like them.
The first day is fine then the next day my eyes feel itchy and cloudy. I've tried 3 different contacts and different solutions.
I'm just wondering if anyone else experienced this issue.

My problem is that the eyes have "islands" that you just can't see. Normally, they are well lubricated and not swollen. When the eye is inflamed, the eyes feel gritty, dry, and blurry.
Your description is different than mine though. It might be the biological especially if your RA is doing better on it.
But the dry eyes won that battle. So I wear my old glasses. My dry eyes are related to RA for sure. Just glad I am old and not vain anymore, as it might have been quite a blow to the ego!
By the way, I had bifocal contacts, and they worked quite well, it was just that I couldn't wear them more than an hour or two.
I was wondering why I can see well most of the time with the contacts I've been wearing for 38 years now but I have days when everything is blurry-mostly this happens when I'm shopping in a grocery or dept. store. Also can't get the lenses in -in the morning because my eyes are too dry.
Never knew inflammation of the eye could cause this.
Thought I was nuts.
