All my life I've gone bare foot. Around the house mostly. I work at home so I been bare footing it since 2004....until the middle of this year. It was my feet that first showed the RA although we thought it was just good old fashion foot pain. Seen my GP and she said "wear shoe's" after I told her I never wore shoes around the house.
Then podiatrist said by some comfortable slippers for morning and around the house. I discovered Vionics and have never been happier. I still flip flop it...but with Vionics. Every morning when I put on my flip flops it's like heaven. Can't imagine going bare foot ever again.
Buy I do miss it sometimes. But I must say, my pedicure last a lot longer and my feet don't look like leather anymore.

It seems like forever since I went barefoot. This post actually took me back to a memory of being 16, and going barefoot the whole summer. I had the thickest callouses you could ever imagine.
Those were the days!
I remember walking home from junior high in the rain barefoot. Always stopped at the local Thrift for an ice cream cone!

Most of our house has ceramic tile. Lived here for a year and a half before I decided to wear shoes. Lucky I still have feet! That tile is beautiful but deadly!
