If a nerve or ligament is trapped, maybe a cortisone injection is warranted. I'd get a quick check on it.

Yes, when my fingers were swollen double their normal size for several months. My numbing and tingling weren't specific to the tip but second half of those swollen fingers. My Rheumy told me it was carpel tunnel syndrome and it would not stop until the swelling went down. And sure enough after the swelling went down it went away.

If it were me I'd get an appointment. I have had that in winter but it wasn't just one finger aznd it was due to the cold weather. Take care.

My doctor told me it is caused by swelling in the fingers which, in turn, presses on the nerves.

Can you ring your Rheumy and ask his/her opinion?

Maybe my finger WAS a sign of nasty things to come. Late yesterday and today have been miserable. Every joint feels like it's stinging, burning, aching and painful almost like they're vibrating and talk about fatigue and brain fog. It's also like a sauna if you step outside - luckily I don't HAVE to go out there today.

I called and left a message with my Rheumy's nurse and she called me back within an hour to let me know he was out of town til mid next week.

I got my Humira shot out warming up. I think I'm going to take it three days early. I don't THINK that could be harmful?

I'd rather spend the money on a massage therapist that is trained in those sorts of things. They can help stop the impingement.

I wish I could bring myself to have a massage, but the idea freaks me out. I also have a subluxation in my neck I would worry about. My husband helps a lot massaging my shoulders and mid-back.
