I just wanted to say hello and am very pleased to have found this site. Having RA for the past 27 years (i was 30 when it started) my family, although they love me and know the AR........well they are just used to it. But the maladie is still there and although i am used to it, it doesn't make life great when there is the flare up. I can no longer walk for more than 30 mins because of my knees. Oh i wish i could just be a normal person. I don't want much out of life. I don't think the rhumatologist even really understands. That upsets me. He doesn't seems to actually get it that this really hurts. Well that's my introductory rant. Sorry. But thankyou for this group

I understand the issue about Docs not understanding. Yes, it really does hurt. I had a Ruemy tell me, after I complained about not being able to walk very far, that I have RA all over my body except my feet. I could not get out of there fast enough!
