I'm Kristen..I've been checking in to this group, over the past couple of weeks, and I've finally decided to introduce myself! Everyone here seems really caring, and understanding of each other...Plus, wonderful advice is given!
I was diagnosed with RA in February of this year...I'm seronegative for RA, but my CRP, and ESR are always elevated...I also had a CT scan (I cannot have a MRI), and it showed " a cystic osteochrondral lesion, 1cm in transverse depth" and a 2nd one "0.9x0.6cm"...I also have damage in my wrist...Siggghhh,,,,Since then, my life has changed! I have had all the vaccinations, (shingles and pneumonia,flu)...tried methotrexate, and arava..both did nothing but make me sick:( I am now on Enbrel, it's only going on 3 weeks, but I seriously am feeling better(!)..Has anyone here had a quick response to a biologic like this? Thank You, and I am so looking forward to getting to know everyone here:)

yes, I've read of many folks who have seen a big difference soon after starting Enbrel, & I'm so glad that you're seeing results so soon after starting the treatment. I was started on Enbrel 13 yrs ago, actually I was on a national wait-list as supply was so short after it first hit the market. Thankfully it was a short wait--only a few weeks. It took the drug about 3 months for me to see any real results. One of the things I like is that Enbrel-energy, it helped me so much with the overwhelming fatigue. Thru the years I've had to go off of it only on a few occasions ie infections, & have enjoyed the drug bebefits. All that came to an end this yr after a big insurance skrew-up & I had to go off of Enbrel for 2 months. Now the insurance problem has been rectified--I'm 8 weeks back on Enbrel, but so far no good results for me. So I'm praying that it will kick-in any day now. This is a great forum for RA, I wish I had found it years sooner & welcome to you & keep us posted of your progress!
