So sorry! I've finally been getting relief from Orencia and just got notice from my doctors office that their funding ran out. I'm going to apply to a different one tomorrow. I know how you feel. This is so frustrating! I had tried so many medications and finally this one was helping. Prednisone will increase your insomnia but help with the pain. I hope you can get some info from your Doctor! Hang in there!
I hope you don't see this message because you finally got to sleep!
If you ask for pain meds and sleeping pills, or anything specific, they will not give you any because you will sound like an addict. They may not give you anything to take home anyway, but may give you something long lasting, or some prednisone. Urgent care centers are less likely to give you anything for pain, but may give you prednisone
If you are not completely honest with them about any meds you took, this will make it much harder to get any help, because they will do a urine sample, and maybe blood work. Write all your meds down before you go
If you literally can see yourself swelling...definitely go...that is not normal and should never be ignored
if you decide to wait until Monday, try the benedryl. Then call first thing and insist on being seen. If they do not make you an appointment, ask to speak to the nurse. If she does not work you in, go to your doctors office and ask to speak to the nurse. Do not leave without being seen. No one should have to endure that level of pain!
Soft hugs and best of luck!
