Good luck
It was a pretty quiet day. I came home, had dinner and was asleep by 9:00.
This is a change for me. I have always been a go getter, so to speak. well at least before RA. The more work the better. I hated to sit still. I think this job will be what I need now, more than what I wish it was. I guess I have to learn to adjust.
It is a pretty casual office, khakis and company shirts, and the ladies were all wearing tennis shoes instead of heels (AMEN)! The owner said, headsets for the phones, because none of his employees needed neck problems from sitting with the phone on their shoulders. They are very automated and I will be doing a lot of paperwork. I still can type, I just can't write very much without major pain, so another plus.
They hired 2 of us to do the job, said our skills compliment each other, so I meet my partner in crime next Monday.
I WILL learn to let go and not try to do everything! That will be my new motto. It may take some getting used to, but it is for the best in the end.
I went 9 months with only a few interviews, and fewer 2nd interviews, and then 2 offers within 2 days. The other job was more money and better hours, and probably would have looked better on the resume, but they would have been almost an hour commute in rush hour and this place is about 8 miles away. It only takes me 15 minutes to get there and most of the time is because I have to go through the neighborhood at 25mph.
The hubby doesn't understand why I chose this one over the other, but to me it really isn't about the money. It is about some quality of life at the end of the day.
Well, I am off to day two.
Thank-you all for the support.
Lots of Love,
Kim
