I did have occasion to remember what helped me significantly with my burning pain: massage. That was probably the most effective thing in getting me over the hurdle with fibromyalgia, and got me to the point where I could exercise again, helped with sleep, and the long list of physiological benefits, not the least of which is relaxtion. I have no idea if the pain is related, but check with your doc to see if massage is OK for you.
