Hello Relli, I am sorry to hear that. The story of your nephew mirrors a bit the story of my nephew. Sadly, my nephew passed away exactly a month ago. He was 9 years old. Thanks jmvega, Seth has had radiotherapy and many weeks of chemo. They didn't end up taking his hand and the tumor has reduced in size. But they have decided that they possibly will have to take the hand and part of the arm at the end of this month. An other tumor has appeared in his forearm. It's also in his lymph nodes, nervous system, bones and muscles. They had a meeting about his further treatment on the weekend, but his mum still hasn't heard from them. Waiting, Waiting, I would hate to be her.

We went up to see him on the weekend and took him to the local Show/Fair and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. His mum couldn't afford to take him and his sisters, because his treatment costs.So my husband and I took them, as well as their grandparents. They were spoilt rotten and their mum got a well earned break. Seth's dad hasn't really spoken or had anything to do with him since May and is doing nothing but stuffing the poor little man about. One minute he wants to see him and then the next he wants to sign over his parental rights. Poor little Seth cries to his mum and grandmother asking why his daddy hates him so much.

I just wish that a miracle could happen, but realistically it's not going to happen. The whole family and everyone that knows him is doing everything humanly possible to make whatever time he has left most enjoyable. The Drs say they love seeing Seth and his mum Jac because they're always smiling. Seth's story has touched so many hearts that a couple of people have started a facebook group to raise money to buy Jac a car. The day she found out he had cancer she crashed her car. Her dad was kind enough to give her a loan of his car, but it has started to break down too. Another person that knows her brought a home in a better area than she lives in now for her to rent for cheap.

Jac is so lucky as she has so many people that love her and her kids. My husband and I have had many long phone convo's with her, just listening is all she needs some nights, a little reassurance and love. Just so hard that she has to go through all of this on her own. Some men just don't deserve the title father.

GBH to any of you that are going through this or have lost someone because of this disease.

Jac got Seth's results back today. The cancer is still active and they're going to operate next Thursday. The Dr's say they are going in blind and are just going to take as much as possible to give Seth a most time. Who know's what tomorrow brings. Just a little more time God, please.

Well it's the early hours of Thursday morning and Seth is asleep in the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne. He goes into theatre at 8.30am and is expected out around 6pm tonight. So long for a little man to be under:( Pray for my little man:)

Seth still has 20 weeks of chemo to go after his big op Yesterday. Seths surgery went for 11.5 hours the worst 11 and a half hours of his mums life. Seth got removed middle pointer and thumb. Then they used the top of the middle finger for a thumb. Then what they removed from the wrist they replaced with his hip bone. Then they needed all new nerves for the hand so they opened up his leg and took some from there. Then took skin from his thigh for the graft. He isn't complaining of pain they have him fairly dosed up on Meds as surgery was pretty extensive. But at the end of the day he still had a smile for his mum. He's in his bed watching Cars and trying to make the best of his situation today. Surgeon said "Mr you're one brave boy". He turned and said "I get told that all the time". I say most adults if they went through what he did they wouldn't be smiling, but Seth is. He's so amazing:)))

Seth my awesome little trooper is already trying to get up and moving:) What a good boy:))))

He moved his new thumb today, so I guess that means the grafts and tendon transplant from his leg are working:)))

Some awesome new regarding Seth. They got all of the live tumor out of his hand. He has 19 weeks of Chemo left and if all goes to plan, he might be declared in remission:) PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM

There are so many special people out there in the world. My SIL has a friend that started a group on fb to raise money to get her a car, as she wrote hers off the day he got diagnosed. They asked for $5000 and got $28,000. The will get her the 7 seater car she needs for her and all her kids. Also contribute towards the medical costs.

She also got a call from a National womens magazine here in Australia called New Idea. They're planning to do a 2 page article about him and his operation. They had read the article the Royal Childrens Hospital put in the Melbourne Herald Sun newspaper about what he had done. Now the whole nation will know of my amazing little nephew.

This is an update on how Seth is going:) He's going back to school:)))

Sad update on Seth. He has more lumps again, in both legs and one arm. The Drs have advised his mum to plan his funeral. He is going to see his beloved football team play in the Grand final tomorrow, so hoping that they win for him. His father has finally stepped up and is now helping with things. We are on holiday on the other side of the country, so are feelling quite helpless. Will head home in the next couple of weeks and probably head up there to see him. Many Prayers are needed that his last months on this earth a spent with family and happiness. Pray for his mum who is not coping and has turned to drugs. Pray for his nan and pa who have more or less brought him up. Pray for his surrogate Pa Terry, who is also caring for his wife who is battling cancer. Love and peace to you all:)

Seen Seth for the first time since hearing the news. It is so hard seeing him looking so happy and healthy looking. He is in great spirits and has accepted his impending death well.

Every week they're finding more tumours and we have now just found out that his body is starting to close down. Last week he got to go to Queensland to the theme parks with his family through the Starlight Foundation. He got sick, but did manage to do one full day and enjoy himself. We are going up to Melbourne to see him this weekend and by the sounds of it, if we are lucky it will be to say our last goodbyes to our brave little man.

It's two days before Christmas and Seth is defying all of the drs. He is still battling on, determine to make it to Christmas day. Pray for him that he gets his wish and then feels happy enough to let go.

I wish all the success in Seth`s recovery and that he lives in peace and happiness!

Sadly on 2nd January 2012 at 7am Seth died. The poor little man fought so long and hard to stay with us. His mum nursed him at home right till the end. He was buried on Friday. He had a beautiful funeral service, which he planned himself. His football hero came to his funeral, which he would've been extremely happy with. His service at the grave site was just beautiful. It was aimed at his little friends and I think it really helped them say good bye. His message to us was the most important things are Family, Friends, Football and Faith in that order lol. He was an extremely special little boy that touched many peoples hearts before he died. He is in heaven with God and the angels, making them laugh with his great sense of humour and playing footy with all the greats:)
