Besides....don't you watch Ghost Hunters.....Of Course ghosts are real! "do you feel the little hairs standing up on the back of your neck sometimes? That's them". Bonus points if you know which movie that quote is from.
Do you have any really good haunted houses in OK?
i believe in ghosts. my parents moved when i went away to college. the room i stayed in during summers creeped me out. i called in the ghost room because i would wake up screaming and pointing at the corner of the room. i couldn't sleep or relax in there. i still won't stay in that room if i can help it.
and after my kitty, benjamin, died, i see him everywhere. i have thought of him as a spiritual guide...even when he was alive. i think he stays with me.
every once in awhile i will be out on a ride with joe and feel a strange breeze and watch the weeds and bushes dance differently and i feel like my grandparents are with me...
i think i definitely believe in ghosts...
;)
another good ghost story...my friend jenn and i used to go out on these night rides on the horses. one night we were out on this beautiful warm (well...warm for the coast) night. the moon was itty bitty so we couldn't see much except for joe's bright white booty. the horses were spooky that night. they would be walking or trotting and then jump across the trail. and we would move from warmth into cold patches and both jenn and i would get the chills. at one point, everything was pitch black and we were running...couldn't see anything and it got really cold and we freaked out and bolted into galloping. once we got back toward the barn, i looked at jenn and told her i had been scared. she looked at me and told me she had seen ghosts the whole way. CREEPY!
Add this to the discussion: what is your theory about what ghosts ARE?
I believe in the spiritual realm.
I don't know about ghosts. But someone dropped a dime in my room yesterday.
strange thing - my grandpa and i were a lot alike - dare devils, emotional, a little wild and strong minded. he had black hair up till the day he died. i had honey brown to meduim brown hair...until the day he died. my hair suddenly started growing in dark, dark brown to black and has stayed that way. my dad always commented how much i look like his dad and his family with dark hair and he asks when i started dying it! SO STRANGE!
Whenever the ghost question is raised and I start trying to decide if I believe in ghosts, I end up thinking this over and over. I do know that when my mom's fiance was killed suddenly in a motorcycle accident, all of the electronic devices in the house went haywire for a few weeks. The television would change channels by itself and turn itself on and off. The volume on the tv and cd player would increase or decrease on their own. Lights flickered and the computer did lots of weird stuff. I experienced these things first hand, so I know something was going on, but there was never any creepy feeling and I never actually saw a ghost, and I tend to think it was the change in the energy or his immediate absence in a home that was so full of his energy that was the real cause for all of the weird stuff that was happening.
I know that I have been places and had that spine tingly feeling. I know I have dreamed of someone I loved who died, that he came back and talked to me in a dream, but I don't think it was really a dream. I think that time was real, like a communication. I am convinced of it, in fact. But I could be wrong. I am convinced, also, that everything can be explained by science. (possibly even the dream I had... realistically could have been my brain just trying to wrap itself around never again being able to see or speak to someone I had just lost) Even if ghosts do exist, I am quite sure there is science behind it somehow. But I consider science to be life and life to be science.... wow my head is spinning. Great topic Matt! this will give me something to ponder for a while... I am going to try to unravel and sort some of my thoughts. I might have to come back to this....
