I'd like to ask for suggestions of themes for the second Survivors' Retreat. It doesn't have to be a phrase, just a concept.
Along with it, I'd like to hear some ideas for an image that captures your hopes for the retreat. It could be an animal that s symbolic, a certain flower, a scene, etc. I need creative input!

I have changed my mind about the image. Somehow, it made me think of hell or a dungeon and everyone reaching and crying to have someone grab their hand to help them out of their despair. So, I went on to think about how the retreat is suppose to be a celebration of survivorhood and thriving as each person works through their own truths. It just looks too helpless to me.

I like this type of design too. Its very intricate. I have a friend who does awesome, detailed work like this and I can ask him if he can draw us one and let us use it for whatever we want. It can be exclusively ours....

Just some ideas...
At first I thought about clarifying WHAT someone is rising above: "...the pain" or "...the past," etc., but now I think it's best left unspecific. Just "Rising Above."
And I think the image should be a lotus flower.
