Theme for 2010 Retreat?

I'd like to ask for suggestions of themes for the second Survivors' Retreat. It doesn't have to be a phrase, just a concept.

Along with it, I'd like to hear some ideas for an image that captures your hopes for the retreat. It could be an animal that s symbolic, a certain flower, a scene, etc. I need creative input!

OMG, that one in Lauras link is BY FAR the best that Andrea found. Its symbolically BEAUTIFUL. And it would look sweet on a black T shirt.

I think that's a cool idea. Just a matter of getting permission from the artist and writer to use it on the t-shirt. I like the idea of having it on the back of the t-shirt this year instead of on the front. And having RaR on the front would be a good idea too. Under RaR he could put 2010 to signify the year.

Anais Nin died in 1977, so copyright might not be an issue. (How long does copyright remain with someone's family/heirs after the writer's death?)

I know that copyright of pictures is 75 years from the last copyright date (even pursues after death). I'm not sure if it's different for writing.

I don't know, but I'm guessing a simple one-line quotation would probably be allowed as long as it was credited to the author.

Just one caveat, before we take this quotation and run with the idea:

How many people here have read Anais Nin's writings, and do we feel that it's the right sort of association for this group?

Personally I've always felt her writing to be more on the side of porn than erotica, regardless of any 'literary' flourishes - but maybe that's just me?
I do like that particular quotation, but I'm not too sure about its context is what I'm saying. But I'm quite open to discussion about the subject.
