hand-gathered wild rice, elk, deer, berries, sturgeon, walleye, and moose (imported via care package from Rachel in Canada). Now THAT'S real food!
Crap!--gotta go. My ramen noodles are boiling over.
Just so everyone knows...I went to the store and bought me two Eskimo Joe's shirts to wear to the retreat. I bought one that has LOVE on it in Pink. If you go to the website you can see it! As a matter of fact, I am in my hubby's Eskimo Joe's T, right now! I wear it around the house. We love our Eskimo Joe's! I buy my husband the anniversary t-shirt every year for his birthday and one at Christmas! I am thinking that one day we will make one of those T-Shirt Quilts out of them. The story of our lives in shirts from Eskimo Joes! hahahaha Funny thing, I have only eaten their twice!
M-O-O-S-E!! HELLO!? Hell-nooooh......NO moose for me....I may sound like Sara Palin (as Kardy so pleasantly pointed out..psst..note to everyone else...not really:) but THAT is where the similarities END!! Next thing you know they will be suggesting Bear meat....nope..beef is just fine with me...or chicken, or pork, or made up meat like hotdogs.
Hey, I would be ok with that fry-bread mentioned in an earlier post. I could eat that all weekend for every meal...I would like to watch and learn how she makes it...as I was young the last time I saw it made and didn't take any notes....my mom and our neighbor's mom used to make that together. I don't know how it's made in Oklahoma but our mom's used to sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar for a sweet treat for the kids....It was fantastic!!
