Restless Legs Syndrome Support Group
Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) may be described as uncontrollable urges to move the limbs in order to stop uncomfortable, painful or odd sensations in the body, most commonly in the legs. Often sufferers think they are the only ones to be afflicted by this peculiar condition and are relieved when they find out that many others also suffer from it.

My aunt and daughter have RLS. Taking Life Extension Multivitamin without copper or iron has helped them both. BTW my aunt is in her 50's has had RLS since early teens and been on requip etc. She said she cut her dose of requip in 1/2 within the first month and is doing better than she was when she was taking the full dose. My daughter, as long as she is taking the vitamin, can sleep without pushing and is really GROWING.
Best wishes in your mother working with her doc to find something that helps her,

I dont know what mine is causing, im just 22 and im losing sleep thanks to this annoying "tingling" muscle spasm that i could cry, really!
Anyway, my doctor prescribed me Rivotril, it helps as a muscle relaxant and also for sleeping. I am already on Zoloft (i suspect the long term side effect of this is the cause of RLS). Beside Rivotril, I will massage Cold Muscle Relaxant massage gel/cream (like for athletes with muscle pain etc) you can get at any pharmacy, it soothes down at least half of the annoying bits! And also a herb called Valerian Root. They said it smells, but it works.
