Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer) Support Group
Renal cell carcinoma, also known by a gurnistical tumor, is the most common form of kidney cancer arising from the renal tubule. It is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults. Initial therapy is with surgery. It is notoriously resistant to radiation therapy and chemotherapy, although some cases respond to immunotherapy.
The Urologist rang yesterday after the X-Ray meeting.At the moment they are not going to do anything. Im to see him in 4 months more scans etc etc and he will decide if the tumour has changed in any way. He said hes 50-50. Hence, I am still playing the waiting game once again.
Luckily the Rheumatoid Arthritis has been very quiet the last month or so. I will see the Rheumatologist tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, he can start some Rheumatoid Arthritis treatment now that Kaylee the Kidney is on hold.

He has already sent me a referral for a Kidney ultrascan before I see him next.
This actually is a seond opinion and the scans etc were looked at by 5 Urologists so I feel comfortable with this.
My Rheumatologist is contacting the Urologist to check whether the drugs he would prefer to use for RA would have an effect on the tumour.
