I checked in on Wednesday morning - very nervous. I had asked my doctor to take the whole kidney out and he said it wasn't a good idea....I might need the other one down the road. Taking a partial is a much longer procedure than taking the whole thing. My heart beat fell to 20 so he had to decide to get out quickly and took the whole thing. Pains at the entry sites are not too bad, but the gas pains from injecting gas into your body (to do the laprascopy) are quite a test. Twenty four hours after the surgery I was still in a lot of pain - but then this is my third surgery in three months......and they tried to send me home! As it is, I was out in two days. No where to but up I suppose. I will be glad to answer any questions in a few days when I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hugs to all of you guys- you have been great!
