The anxiety your are feeling is perfectly normal. We face that every three months....so totally understand. If you haven't had any problems, it's very likely that all is fine. Continue to take like "one day at a time" and enjoy it. None of us are promised tomorrow. Take care, my friend.

Nope you're not nuts or paranoid! Like msgrace said, it's definitely normal to feel the nervousness. I'm post year 3 now and still get it - although it seems to get a bit less and less for me. Last year I had to postpone my followup and wouldn't you know it, I started getting twinges of pain in various areas. Bone pain, flank pain, etc. Doc's did a few extra tests and turned out to be nothing anywhere. I've read soooo many peoples' posts about the apprehension before followups. Just hang in there and fortunately the time does pass pretty quick. (hugzz)

I have had a fuul nephrectomy, spleen removal and diagnosed with sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma. After two years of treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, I appreciate your feelings. I finally am at a point where all signs of cancer have been resolved-thanks to the genitourinary cancer research done here. I have been through Sutent, Avastin, and several other protocols until I was put on Votrient-which has all but eliminated my cancer. Pay attention to any discomfort and let your oncologist know about them-but don't let any problem that comes up from believing you can beat this-YOU CAN!!!!

I think you are perfectly normal. We have been battling for almost 12 years. Every 3 months for the past 8 years we have been scaned. ( I find myself saying we, because I have gone thru this with him! ) Whew that sounds amazing! We have learned to plan our trips or activities between those times.. Go ahead and live your life as hard and fast as you can. We have seen many of our friends pass that I know thought Steve would go first. The Bible tells us that we know not the day or the hour that our time will be up. Just stay prepared. Hope you will be fine for many years to come!! My best to you, Wanda

Hi Casey, You are so normal unless I am crazy too! I have had so many different strange pains since my surgery 6 months ago that I started calling myself Frankenstein and this morning I recieved an e-mail from my doc that he wants me to have a ct scan next week because the radiologist saw some nodules on my lungs. Now of course I am thinking the worst and have been coughing all day ( the mind is wierd) I was not coughing yesterday. If you find the secret to living without worrying about this please let me know!
