I am new to this community. My husband found it and so here I am......In Canada I have noticed there is a negative view towards this condition. I have tried everything from Nerve blocks, Ultra sound Therapy treatment, even Mannitol Treatment. Nothing worked all it did was cause more health issues or my RSD to get worse.
I finally on the verge of giving up saw a new doctor in my area and he stopped my morphine and neurontin. He then put he on a high does of methadone. Puzzled I gave it a try, that was four years ago. It has cut my pain down without the side affect of morphine and ocxy. I still take the odd oxy or morphine for what I call break through pain.
Has anyone else tried this course of action?

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? I stopped the methadone. Poured it in the toilet after several deaths occurred as a result of taking it. I also was on Phentynal patches. I swear... the doctor said it could not happen... but I am telling you... those patches gave me narcolepsy. I never had it before the patches.... I am, thankfully, virtually pain free from the RSD. (It was in my legs) I still take some Lortab and I would not make it without Requip... which I think is much better than Neurontin. Hot water is my friend as well as (get this) my blow dryer. I sit in a chair... cover up with a quilt and put the blow dryer under the quilt and adjust the air to blow on my painful leg. I don't know why it works... I am happy that it does.
