I've decided that since H asked me this morniing to pick up some Trojan condoms that I would do just that. In fact- I already have! Of course my intial response was "what for - you don;t use them anyway". I had a complete hysterectomy years ago. But hte idea that H will skirm when he opens his gift - well let's just I know I'll get a kick out of giving them to him! LOL!

Geese, I really hadn't thought too much about it. We don't do much I gave upon that a long time ago. He usually stops to buy me chocolates that I hate along with whatever flowers the supermarket or 7/11 has left at that time. He usually picks out a sappy card and stopped writing really sweet things in them a long time ago. He knows what chocolates I like yet he never buys them.

I put more effort into my kids on that day. I set the table with red lights and sweetheart candies all over. I put their cards and a a little gift and candy for them. Everybody gets up at different times. I get my H coffee set up with his favorite chocolate (to leone) and a little note. Then when he gets home I have a regular card and a small gift. I also tend to put another note in his truck to find as he is driving to work.

I honestly forget if we did anything last year. Wait and see.

Ack! Made the mistake of thinking I could find H a card at the store. "You're the only one for me..." "To my soulmate..." "We were meant to be together..." And any mention of "perfect" or "eternity" just put me over the edge!

Working on a little homemade card. How's this, "Well, I'm still here. I haven't set fire to any of your possessions. Here's hoping you don't f--- anyone else again. Where's my candy?" Needs a little work -- I'm happy to hear your suggestions. ;)

Why thank you. I am honing my skills in case I ever lose my job. In my next life, I'm either writing cards for Hallmark or joining the circus.

We had our day, H worked with me. We worked from 8:30 till 2:30. Then we went out for a nice lunch and then to a movie. The Vow. Pretty good. We both cried at one point or another. He more than me, Lol. We had to forgo walking by the river cause we ran out of time but I have a rain check. We the got all the valentines type stuff. Rose, wine, chocolates. I wanted that big soft cuddly stuffed dog with the red ears and nose. I told him I wanted to sleep with it.....no go on that one, Lol. It was a good day. As soon as we got home to watch the little boys the other two couples here took off for their valentines dates. All is quiet here now. I just realized the little boys need to go to bed and I guess I am gonna have to be the one to make that happen. Gotta say though, my H's time is valuable to him and so for him to give me a whole day is the most amazing valentines gift he could ever give me. Thanks honey!
