I would like to start this with I know many of you go to see doctors and the info thay give you is so vague and unclear and the main reason for this is that the medical field has no idea what where and when this came about that is the reason for calling it a phenomenon. I have been to so many doctors that they have all started to tell me that i am more educated in this matter than them....how is that they are the doctors?!! As explained to me by a very honest Doctor.....doctors make educated guess and on common illnesses they know it because they have had to deal with it so much...then when people like us walk in and they have never dealt with it they are confused and start with the vague answers as to not appear uneducated. He apologized that he couldn't do more and for the first time didn't even charge me for his time.
I have had raynaulds for a while now and spent a ridiculous amount of money trying to figure things out until i found a doctor that cares so much he got 4-5 other doctors and they get together once a month and decide what my treatment should be and the one they have come up with is working wonders and now i want everyone who has it to know about it....it is 400mg Trental, 30mg Procardia and i'm not sure of the mg on the paxil but these 3 meds work together to increase the blood flow, break up the platlets and make sure to not cause blockage.....seriously my hands don't change color anymore (unless i dip them in ice cold water and i'm not that crazy)but they also added viagra (YES! it works but i only take 1/2 a pill every other day) not to mention the good mood it puts me in. (your spouse will thank you lol)
They are in the process of helping me deal with the ulcers. I have been to even wound care specialist that told me they can't/won't touch me because they have no clue what they are dealing with. But i have to say to find a doc that cares so much he looks it up and reads about it in his free time not to mention the monthly meetings he has with other docs to get their imput is such a blessing i thank God for putting people like this on earth we need them....So my first suggestion to everyone is find a doctor who truly cares it helps...Try these things and if you need anything else just holla. Good luck!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
the only things theyve ever said work are vasodilators... i dont know if thats what you're using but at the age of 22 it not a good idea for me to take them s they will think the arteries in my heart.
so as mine gets gradually worse and worse... i cant even hold a bottle milk or something out of the fridge for more than a few seconds... i baically just have to live with it and deal....
I really dont know what the cause of mine was, ive always had it for as long as i can remember... when i was little i used to just get my middle right hand finger going white, now just to run my hand under slightly cold water is usually excrucatingly painful.....
My daughter had a dermatology appt. and it happened and I showed the doc and he ran out of the room and came back in and told me it could be serious and that I need to contact my family doc and run a bunch of tests, which I've done. My appt. is set for next Friday to get the final results.
I've been doing some research and now realize that this could explain some of the conditions that my little had. When she was 2, she was hospitalized with ITP and was in the hospital for almost a year. They thought it was Lukemia because she had very very very low platlets. Auto immune conditions lead to many others and now that it is a very good possibility that I have Raynaud's, this explains all of my daughter's conditions, one after the other.
Thank you all for your posts as I am new to this condition and want to be fully educated when I get my results so that I know what I'm up against.
I've been on blood pressure meds for about 5 years now and they don't know why. I don't have a family history of hypertension and I'm far from overweight or non-active. I am 5'7" and weight about 125# and my body fat is only 19% so there is no rhyme or reason for high blood pressure, but Raynaud's could be the reason.
