Hi! I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis about 3 1/2 years ago, Raynauds about 1 year ago and 2 weeks ago with Addisons. I feel like I am literally falling apart! Even though it's summer, I am freezing and my left little finger and left toes get red and bluish and hurt so bad I can't stand anything touching them, especially the finger. And, of course, when I get cold my hands and feet hurt soooo bad. My church felt like it was 40 degrees in there today and I felt like leaving I was hurting so bad. This is my first summer with this. Are there any medications that people can use to help with these symptoms? I'm on steroids for the Addisons and RA, Thank you all so much!

Hi! I also have Raynauds, I have had it for at least 10 yrs, I was put on Procardia XL , a low dose for the Raynauds, I know it is a blood pressure med but works very well for our problem. I was reluctant to take it at first because i had no problem with my blood pressure, and I procrastinated for a long time, I finally gave in and took it like I was supposed to and walaa!! My problems with this are almost non-exsistant now.

Hi I have had raynauld''s about 25 yrs and their is no centain medication that will help. I go completely numb and finger turn purple if my hands are cold. so I have learned how to dress warm. always wear socks (when I can) keep jacket in your car always if your going into a store or church. I have rhumetory arthritis severly so I have learned day by day how to control. medication is norvac and Norco and toporol .. Hope this helps u. Gail

Hi - I've had Raynauds for the last 8 years.. My Dr put me on 5mg of Felodipine 5 years ago but now on 10mg at bedtime.. I find it great and very effective - wouldn't go without it.. It's helped my cold frozen feet and hands, plus my lips used to go numb and go blueish too..... I also find a regular massage helps the circulation as well... This last winter my feet were still cold but my hands and lips are almost healed from the cold and pain... Felodipine is a heart medication and lowers your blood pressure, so be careful if you get light headed.. My Pharmacy advised me to take this medication just before getting into bed and then lying down, as your blood pressure naturally lower while lying - but I have had no problems at all .. It's a slow dose medication and lasts for 24 hours.. I hope this news may help your problems Lifeis2short :)
