I'm 17 and i would like to have a full physical becasue technically me being raped is being "sexually active" and i want to make sure im okay. I dont want to tell my parents so what would happen if i told my doctor? i want to tell him i was raped becasue i dont want to say i am sexually active casue that was the only thing thats happened to me sexually, but will he tell the cops or will it be super confidential? and how do i keep it confidential from my parents when they will know of me getting a full physical, which is assumed you are sexually active? What should I do?

get the physical you don't need to tell them you were raped. but it is your paitent information and therefore i don't think the doctor can tell your parents without your permission. Where are you from?

I am not sure what they will do cause I don't know what the laws are up there.

I don't know the law there. A rape or sexual advice centre / helpline would be able to advise you. Or, maybe you could phone a doctor (perhaps not your own) and ask the situation without giving any more details than, say, your first name. That way they can't make a report.

I would call your sexual assault hotline first to see what the law is about informing the cops. I think you would filter in as a legal adult.

When I was 16 about 10years ago, I was raped and had a doctors appt. a week or so later. They never called the cops nor did my therapist, it was up to me.

To this day I regret not pressing charges on that man, he was my bf, over 18 and lied about his age.
