It makes me very sad that there seems to be a sort of line drawn in the sand on this forum. Men and woman can BOTH be victimized. how can we heal our wounds if aren't willing to try? I understand that trust does not come easy, believe you me I have a very difficult time trusting men, but I don't let that cloud my judgement when I meet a fellow survivor. If you survived rape, you have been through hell, and regardless of gender that is a fellow human being that needs help more than anyone. So please, just try to open yourselves. Have faith.

I cant open up to men who are survivors and there is nothing that is going to change that. I don't trust men period. I will not be open to myself at all. This is how I am and will always be.

i was raped when i was young and i dont trust man. although until my husband. one right man will come along that you can trust. just have faith. he will be able to wait and stick by you threw all the hard times. there will be alot of those to. sometimes i cant understand why my husband stands by me but he does.

@ dreamer247, I understand what you are saying. Believe me I know, but try not to look at a male survivor as a man, try to look at him as someone that knows your pain.

@ jovonna5 He loves you, that is why. When you love someone, no matter what, you stick by them.

i cant see a male survivor as someone who knows my pain since I have been abused by men. Its easier said then done.
