Rape Support Group
If you or someone you know has been the victim of rape, this is the place to find support and get advice. If you want, discuss your experience, share your feelings, and meet others going through a similar situation.
I'll be heading north into the country a long ways for a gathering of others in my tribe, mostly, plus some other tribes who choose to participate. We'll be conducting ceremonies all weekend, including our purification, called madoodimowigamig in our language.
I'm only mentioning this because this year, my pledge will be in behalf of sexual assault survivors. I won't be answering messages again until Monday, so please know I am in difficult prayer for all of you. I look forward greatly to finding whatever new medicine will be given to me to carry in my biinjigosaan (medicine bag).
Please keep clean this weekend, and if possible send prayers for me as well.

Yet somehow, people were bringing up their past experiences one after the other, as if on queue. Men talked about being in relationships with survivors, and the role of spirituality in their recovery. We had Traditional and Christian people all together, sharing.
