Another idea that might work is, if you're still in counseling, or are able to book a session, you could have your therapist help you in talking to your husband during a session as well.
When I told my parents, 2 years had passed, and I had written it in a letter and left it on my mom's side of the room after going out of town. For me, writing has always been my go-to when I have something that needs to be said, but is too difficult.

As far as opening up to your husband, if you can't find the words to start the conversation, you can always use some form of writing, like a letter or something. Or maybe you could see if he could come to a session with you and you could have your therapist help you to have the conversation
