If you're not able to tell your mother, you could try telling your closest friend or someone else in your family that you're close to and you can trust. It's best if you tell someone, even if it's not your mom, so you get a chance to talk about this.
If you think that she would not support you or you just don't feel like you would appreciate her support, then don't.
I was terrified to tell my mom, but in the end she was just concerned about me and wanted to help.
