The night that i was raped was the morning of my best friends birthday party which was at a professional tramploine place. When i got there I was in a lot of pain and didnt think i could really do much. at this time i didnt know what had happened to me all i know is i felt it was my fault and tried to turn it around to make it seem like it was a choice, i didnt want to face that i had been raped. My best friend was already not a virgin and so i told her i had sex and with who. I guess as i talked to her about it i made it seem like a noraml sexual experience and she look that as me bragging. Later on when i told her what really happened she told me i was exaggeration because before apparently i was bragginf and she also said he wasnt that bad a person and i was making him sound worse than he was. I was pretty upset that she had said this and i was trying to think of a way to explain and the only thing i coudl think of was telling her i felt like i needed to catch up to her becasue she was so expericed and i never told her that it had really hurt me and at this point i still didnt know what had really happened and why i tried to play it off like any other normal sexual experience, has anyone done the same? and so now its reallly hard to talk to her about it becasue i never fully explained my self now that i am aware what had happened. Now when she talkes about sex it makes me uncomfortable but i never fully confronted her about how much it hurt, i only forgave her becasue she is my best friend. So has anyone done the same and try and make it seem like any other normal sexual experince aand try and ignore what had happened? and what should i do about my best friend, this happened about 9 months ago too.

That's called denial and your def not alone........I never tried to play it off as normal.......as for your friend....you have to decide whether you want to talk to her about it or not ....a good friend will listen and try to understand.....if not shes not a good friend.. There are plenty of others out there

you are not alone.....after my second rape i thought it was normal what happened......i finally realized it about 18 months after it happened when i was talking to my therapist.....you're not alone....and i think it would be a good idea to tell your friend how you feel.....even if she IS your best friend she shouldn't get off the hook

I was raped 17 years ago and I still play it off as a normal sexual act. I did start going to counseling and talking about it To be honest if your friend feels that way I wouldn't keep her as a friend but then again ask her why she feels the way she does maybe she is just scared and doesnt know what to say.

So many young women these days LACK knowledge of those little red flags being tossed out all over the place!!! Such as, "He isnt taking no for an answer... he's being pushy.... he won't stop touching me when I tell him to stop" If your gut tells you something is wrong, chances are your gut is the correct one.
