If you could design a T-shirt for survivors who are proud, what slogans or words would you want them to say? I'm trying to put together a small project to create gifts for women who complete therapy and reach exceptional success. I need suggestions about what phrases or words you would find especially meaningful.

Soul Surviver...(sp?) (Because they may have hurt my body, but they can not have my soul)

I'll think on this one more...somehow I feel like I have something better in me for this project....I like this project!

This one has kept me up at nights....I think maybe just one word, one powerful word that they would know and feel good about.....And then I see your screen name over and over in my head and I like it....

So, how about "Empowered!" Just one simple little word that would hold much meaning for them, yet not announce anything to anyone that they don't wish to share their intimate feelings with. And with one word....you could print or embroider it on darned near any type of material you can think of...shirts, coffee mugs, pencils, etc.

Well, check out the first few images in my photo album. These are designs I created; do you think they would be desired by anyone as gift items? Especially if part of the income was used to fund outreach and service programs for sexual assault?

Yes...yes....and YES! Love them....especially the hands in a circle, the purple backgrounds with the birds (one dove and one eagle)! And I would love to purchase any and all of the above when available.....You are so full of wonderful ideas! Please see my "Any ideas" discussion....I just know that you will have some ideas up your sleeve.... : )

I love those designs - I would buy any of them! My favorite is the circle of hands.

I've been thinking about that - I want to get some kind of tattoo to remember how strong I am, and that I survived. I think just "strength" or "inner strength" are pretty powerful.

You know, I had mixed feelings about the one with all the swirling negative words and the HOPE in the center. But when I've shown it to women in therapy, they respond VERY strongly to it. They really like the honesty of it, and the core of hope.

But by far, the circle of hands is the most popular.

If I set up a shop at cafepress.com, do you thing women would buy these? This isn't about making money; it would help fund programs for sexual assault (plus a little pocket money for me, I'll be honest). I think it would be nice to use sales to set up a scholarship for gifted young women who have come through therapy with me and want to make this their life's work.
