seeing your rapist after the rape is incredibly scary and can really trigger you......i saw my rapist on campus and he approached me and asked me why i was so mad/angry at him-i know he's insane......if i were you and saw him i would go into a building or something....a building or even a bus stop or something and take a few minutes to calm down, remind yourself that he's not with you now, that everything is okay and then keep on walking.....it's also beneficial to keep something with you as self defense....a lot fo times fitness places offer self defense......you can take a class or you can carry a small can of hairspray with you.....that's what i do....or a whistle or an alarm.....those are just some ways to keep you safe so that if you feel very unsafe you can attract attention to yourself.....hope this helped!!!!

its not just that he lives just round the corner and its really scary because he always looks at me and the police said i cant go down his street but he can go down mine thats what i cant understand i did nothing wrong i was walking home and he had his sick way with me ... he threatens me every time he sees me saying he is going to kill me and i have to live with this for the rest of my life ... people in my area call me for what has happened to me and it just makes me feel like giving up on everything because its not like i asked for him to rape me he just did it ... it winds me up when people come over and say are you ok ...no am not because i have to live with the pain of what happened for the rest of my life and they just tell you to push it to the back of your mind ... well you cant do that because your afraid all the time that its going to happen again

I can't even imagine what that must feel like! I am fortunate enough to have my rape happen in Chicago while I lived in Texas. I can understand that seeing him can be very difficult. I hope it will get better for you! I will send all happy thoughts your way!

Why not try to get a restraining order? Then he wouldn't be able to come near your house, let alone approach you, or else he can go to jail. Even if the rape can't be proven for whatever reason, you have the threats to go on and that should be plenty. *hugs for you*

another thing um have you tried getting a retraining order? thats not fair you or any one else for that matter. he did to you he will do it to someone else! love you! ill continue to keep you in my prayers!!

based on what you've said here contact your local rape crisis center they have legal staff that can help you get a restraining order
