I have posted a couple of times about problems I have had in the past with law enforcement. Well to sum it up again.. last year there was a detective who had my case ( I was sexually assualted over several years), and the detective completely turned that entire investigation around. He would tell me that I was lying, interview my attacker and tell him that he didn't need to worry about anything because he was going to make sure everyone knew I was a liar. The detective told my family, relatives, and several of my close friends personal details of the attacks that I had told him when I reported and he had written them down. This detective threatened to lock me away for giving a false report and said he would be watching everything I do. I had to change my name on facebook, etc. just so he couldn't find me. He drove me so far down that I became very depressed and even suicidal. I ended up in a stress center, and even worse.. this detective recieved the call that I needed to be taken to the ER for suicidal thoughts.. and HE wanted to drive me. The entire time in the hospital he cut me down, and then told the doctors all sorts of lies about me, even stating that I was a very violent person (which I am not, I have never been in a physical fight throwing back my own punches). The doctors ended up believing him :( Anyways, while still trying to deal with that on top of dealing with being assualted.. I was told today that a different detective was going to do another investigation but within the same department. WHAT!? While I was there today, I was already told that talk around the station was that I was lying and the one detective was already starting things again. I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER INVESTIGATION.. but according to the current investigator, I don't have a choice. I am just waiting for everything to spiral downhill again, at a very fast pace. I feel like the law is just attacking me now over and over again. I am so fearful of them and I can't believe this is happening. When the current detective keeps asking me why I don't want another investigation and when I tell her its because of the first investigator and how it went so wrong, she doesn't understand.. she doesn't think that's a good enough reason to not do another one. Can anyone else understand? I feel like I have no support.. and once again, I feel like I have no control every second of the day.. for as long as this investigation lasts again.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Trust that there are people who will advocate for you. Is it possible to find a local victims advocacy group?
It might help to take the time to sort out your thoughts (long walks, meditation, journalling, whatever you've gotta do). Easier said than done but people tend to respond better to people who have their thoughts and feelings in check. Achieving this is very difficult. But even small steps toward that goal can have an impact on how you are treated.
@redefined: I'm sorry to hear you were treated so poorly by the lawyer. It's terrible and never a good place to be in.
