By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Hi everyone,
I had a PE mid- March this year. I'm having a hard time getting my irn stable. I read the list of foods that I should keep consistent in my diet, (again) and nothing is setting off a red flag, that I ate more than I I did in the past..The only thing I did was walk more. I'm feeling better, and the weather was good.
Does walking casue your irn to go down?

INR can vary with activity. At the AC clinic they advised that higher activity, all other things being equal, brings down INR. My experience has been consistent with that, at least most of the time. That activity could be running/cycling, or the occasional work projects involving long days of physical labor.
The best bet is to find a level of activity with which you are comfortable and get your INR adjusted to that. Thereafter be as consistent as possible with your habits.

my activity is still much lower than it was, and that's not sitting well with me. I'll just have to up it slowly, and deal with the INR, as needed.

Carolyn, I'm not sure if walking alone would drive you INR up or down, I'm pretty sure increasing your circulation would be more beneficial vs. sitting still. I started with barely 1mi per day walking and am up to 5mi a day plus the gym 2-3 days a week on top of the walking. My weight is down 45 lbs in 9 months and while I have good and tough days pain-wise I keep my PCP informed as to my diet, exersize and weight loss and he adjusts my warfarin accordingly. Slow and steady wins this race! -P

INR will go down with increased activity. But the activity is good, so please don't stop because of the INR change, just let them adjust the dose accordingly and stay consistent with your activity!!
