vision in right eye

i am on lovenox. i fell three times on saturday most likely from throwing up for a bit over four weeks now. i have turned into a clutz. i was driving to church a mile from the house and good thing i only had a block to go because i realized i had almost no vision in the right eye. i went to ER they could not find a reason other than possible related to my migraines but today headaches are gone and still have maybe 80 vision loss. so now i have to wait till Tuesdayin our po dunk town drs are gone. i am trying not to freak and praying it just magically slowly returns. but i will feel so much better when my reg ophthalmologists looks at it.

has anyone had anything like this happen from blood thinners?
it doesn't hurt, burn nothing. not even missing parts just so blurry i can tell blurred colors and differences in shapes. i will wait to freak till tues. i have had migraine where i get a total loss of vision in that eye and it is back withing a few hours other wise i probably would be hysterical.

I had a stroke 12 years ago. It was an occipital lobe stroke, and I developed a blurry blind spot on my right side. I wasn't on blood thinners, though.

Did they do a head CT when you went in to the ER?

I'll keep you in my thoughts.

no i was riding the fence as to weather i shold let him yet since i tallied my count of ct's am have had 31 since may of 2006. so i f it is necessary after tomorrow i will relent but the ophthalmologist has a bigger bag of history and knowledge in this and i trust this guy beyond words he already saved the sight in my left eye once. got scratched by dirty little toddler nails swells boths yes shut and it was so bad. i actualy think it was the right eye now that i think about it. but the damage was so severe i had no sight in that eye for 6 months it took so lond to heal i could not drive for over a years because the eye ball spasm-ed so i had double vision , was freaky.. i hope it is not a stroke but is am on the lovenox and maybe i am naive but i don't think i could have a stroke that easy with the lovenox and no other symptoms but the headache. hope hope. tomorrow will tell. will let you know. what is a ocipital lobe stroke. did it hurt? did you get your sight back? did it affect anything else. for me it is not like a missing spot.
when i cover the good eye and put on my glasses all i can see is the black lines in the page with no letters or definition. just grianey blur. weird

well for the eye(s) i am in deep poop. according to the ophthalmologist i have lost most od the vision in my right eye to a very rapidly growing cataract which is apparently reserve for diabetics which i am not. it appears that the neck vessel may be partially blocked causing vessel damage to the eye. and i have THE SAME PROBLEM IN THE OTHER EYE. i guess i have to have the neck vessels checked first. then circulation to the eye since there appears to be limited blood flow. i was told if those tests are all right it is gonna take awhile to find a surgeon with the balls to do the surgery. because of my frightening medical history. so at this pace they say without knowing how long the process of getting all the approvals and tests done and finding a surgeon with courage i was told i will most likely lose what is left of the right eye vision in 1-2 months and the left 1-2 months behind that. it it to surreal. i refuse to freak out. i know there are way to many good surgeons that don,t know the meaning of the word failure. and i am to stubborn to accept anything less than their best work. i have sat on many a drs. desk and refused to move till they think a little harder to come up with a liveable solution. blindness is not acceptable. i don't take no for an answer. so pray for me because even if you don't believe in prayers i do.

it is 12:30 in the morning here. there is nothing left to dust, no windows left to clean, no laundry left no floors left to sweep or mop, for us we are having a heat wave it is 63 degrees and i am soaked in sweat. i tried sleeping on my bench out front. time to cop to I'm freaking a bit. self talk did not get me sleep last night. i found myself cleaning windows as the sun started coming up for the day i know things will calm down some once i start seeing the other drs and get some of the test done but i have to wait till Fri for the first appointment. it seems like a million years. on the good side there won't be anything left to baby or sight proof. my son called to i had to tell him and told him since i know i will be prayed for his sister will know to just tell her i am having a little bit a vision problems and to out right more than stretch the truth. the last thing i need on this earth is her running home to "help". for me all of this could not have happened at a more perfect time. my daughter just left for three months she is preserved from having to endure one more bad illness. i feel like the most grateful person on earth. i have a feeling as long i can type at all i will be de stressing my fingers by keeping everyone updated as i can. bless you and pray for me, i am gonna ry to rest

That is really crazy news about your eyes. I can't even imagine how you are feeling right now. I would be terrified if I were you, I think. Wish I had something helpful to say, but just know I am thinking of you and hoping something positive happens on this. Keep us posted!

I had cataract surgery in both eyes 10 years ago..amazing vision after..but now losing left eye due to macular degen..could be so many things..best friend was diagnosed with his M/S through an eye exam..they can see much behind eyes
