I am actually not quite sure what has been going on with me but I've been getting Urinary Tract Infection symptoms without the actual infection. Maybe I should look into a Urologist as well. There were at least 2 that I did have an infection but I also think it is strange that I had never had one in my life and now over the last 6 months I have had 6...1 I didn't get checked for before I started taking the antibiotics and eventually felt better so I am not sure about that one and 1 I just had and haven't received the results yet...hmmm

Ive been feeling like I have to pee very often... like crazy really!
It was at first constant and really intense. I was given antibiotics twice and they did a culture and no infection at all. so my primary is sending me to a urologist. She said it could be stress induced muscle type issues or nerves and that its treatable. But im wondering if coumadin has something to do with this? bc ive never had a problem like this ever!!!!!! I couldnt get an appointment until the 20th of oct. so maybee ill have some answers.

p.s. it went away for like 4 days and then came back again its not as bad as it was the first time at all but still very annoying and uncomfortable. Please keep me updated on your situation and ill do the same!

p.s. this has been going on on and off for about 2 and a half weeks.

this also happened to me when I was on warfarin, had to urinate frequently and had 3 urinary tract infections, which I had never had in my life. then my doc switched me to coumadin and it has been fine. the docs will never admit all our strange feelings are due to this nasty medicine. let's hope we can all get off of it soon.

I too had a urinary tract infection on warfarin- and what was really scary was(not for the weak) the amount of visible blood in my urine- I thought I had a bleeding issue. I also have to pee alot especially at night- but then again the warfarin makes me really thirsty. anyway I think different people have different sensitivities to drugs just like different foods. Hope you figure it out.

I have had crazy muscle pain and dizziness/wooziness + now peeing sooooo much OMG its just so uncomfortable.

My opinion is - If we have been through such a traumatic event, shouldnt we be able to recover with as much comfort as possible?????

8( I am going to talk to my hematologist about switching to the real coumadin not generic warafin!

If I need to be on this medication for 8 more months shouldnt I be comfortable....Ugh Thank you all for your input!

My last one it was like I was just all out peeing blood. My Primary is 5 houses down so I skipped class the next day and waddled over. They wouldn't let me leave because they saw the amount of blood in my urine and freaked out, and it was a lot less by then. I had actually passed a few clots as gross and weird as that sounds and was in a ridiculous amount of pain. That happened at night. When I went to the drs. it wasn't that bad, just a little bit of blood. 20 minutes later when they had me pee in a cup again it was completely clear like nothing had ever been wrong and the pain was almost gone. That was before I even started antibiotics. I really need to call them back and find out whether or not I actually had an infection that time.

I have been on Coumadin for about 3-4 weeks now and this last week, i have been running for the bathroom, and low and behold my PE family are expierencing the same issues!!!! Except for peeing blood..

Hi all, I am a year out from my PE. The year before it happened, I had 3 bladder surgeries to fix my incontinence issue. My incontinence has returned, and I have urgency -need to go now a lot -never thought it could be the couadin. I am actually going back to the urologist on the 15th of Oct. I haven't had any problems with Coumadin and urination. I have found some drugs can contribute. The one that is bad for me is Imitrex. If you have an OBGYN you might ask him/her.

I have been having similar issues... I had a UTI during the second week I was on warfarin and now (after about 7 weeks) I have frequent and urgent trips to the bathroom to urinate. I asked my doctor if this could be from the medication, but he said no. Now I think YES! I have an appointment with my hematologist in about a week and a half and I am going to bring it up with him and see what he says.

Well, my problems with this continue...

I saw the hematologist yesterday and he said it isn't a side effect of the medication. He took a urine sample to do a culture, but he may send me to a urologist (spelling?) to see what the problem is.

I still think it could be the medication.

I just started taking the real coumadin two days ago to soon to tell, but ill let you know if there is a difference!

Well I know I do pee a lot, but I also drink a ton of water with this stuff, someone told me at the beginning to keep lots of fluids in you, so I drink lots of water, that also helped with the nausea I felt at the beginning. Again this is a very powerful drug and I don't think they truly know all the side effects because it is so individual.
