By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
HI all. It is now Friday. Sorry I was not able to get back with you all sooner. The doctors did another doppler on my legs yesterday and they found NEW clots in BOTH legs!!!!! They then did a chest x'ray and then they did a CT Scan of my head and Lungs. My head looked good and thank God, my chest looked good too. Infact, my PE's were also gone, but some damage is still there. The good news is: NONE of the new DVT's traveled to my lungs yet, THANK GOD!!!!
SOOOOOO......... BOTTOM LINE, HOW IN THE HELL DID NEW CLOTS FORM WHILE I WAS ON 6 mcg OF COUMEDIN??? The doctors are saying I am a coumedin failure!!!! Coumedin does not work on me. I still find that weird considering my INR's has been therapudic for weeks now! After I was admitted 3 days ago and they put me back on heparin and kept me on 6 mg. of coumedin now, today, my INR level is now at 3.86. Ughhh
I am being released at 4pm today. They are sending me home on Fragmin Shots to do myself (haha, thanks for Tammie) and NO coumedin. Any suggestions?????????????????????

Your stretch marks which never seemed like a good thing are your new best friend. They don't hurt a bit if you do the shots in them. Or at least mine. After 5 kids, one of them weighed 11 lbs, I have lots to choose from. Good luck!
