Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I can completely understand your anxeity...down to the minute that it all happened and I think it's totally normal!
You will get past it and everything will be GREAT!!! :)
I just had my 1-year anniversary last Friday and, like you, I felt like I just need to make it through that one day and I would be okay. I did, indeed, make it through February 24 and felt a HUGE weight lift from my shoulders by the end of the day. Somehow reaching the 1-year mark makes it seem like the PEs are now officially in the past.
As far as getting back to normal goes, I'm hoping for an enhanced normal. I don't want to go through what I've been through this year and not be changed in an important way.
And Cave, St Patricks day happens to be my sisters birthday, so see??? LOL Too funny!
Once I made it past about 9:30 this morning, I already felt a bit better, now to get through the rest of the day! (and every day after that!! )
