By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

The time has come

I have officially taken the last of my 6 month regime of Xarelto. I go in a week from tomorrow to get my blood drawn for genetic testing then see my Pulmonologist on the 29 th for the results. I want to thank everyone for the advice and well wishes I have received. I will update after the results.
