Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
swelling ing legs causing unbearable nerve pain in
chicago58
on july 6th i had to take a 13 hour round trip bus ride for a va apportionment, it is four and a half hours each way on the bus with two five minute stops. when i got home my legs were about as swollen as they have ever gotten on one of these trips. so the first thing i did was take a water pill and put my feet up for a few days. i don;t know what happened but it set off nerve pain in my feet. i could not step on the ground, or even let the sheets one the beds touch my feet with out screaming . it is like someone is stabbing knives in my feet every time they are touched or touch the ground. this is 13 days later and i am still using the walker , crutches and anything i can to keep as much of my feet off the ground as possible.
the drs just say it set off a fibromyalgia reaction. and not that it has found that spot to expect it to happen often.
has anyone else had this happen?. i have never had pain this bad, every time my feet touch the ground i threw up and it starts a migraine and no amount of pain medicine can touch it,
does anyone have suggestion on how to reduce the pain i am gonna go bonkers if i gotta stay on the couch one more week with my feet up.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
If you're dealing with fibro too, maybe you should stop by the fibro group and see if anyone there has any suggestions for it.
Best wishes. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the pain starts to ease soon for you!
Good luck to you my friend. And I'll add you to my prayers for a fast healing.

I think I blame a LOT of things on FM, including the pain in the calf that I had. Never dreamed it would be a blood clot.
Sorry, I am new here and haven't yet posted before.
