By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

...but who is back?????????? "Good ole Swollen Leg"...is back for its cameo... GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

...it's terribly frustrating...one thing seems to get seems to resolve (such as the legs).and then the lung hurts....then lung gets better...then leg swells............
....this entire matter is as crazy as our economy.... :"

...I was thinking why the swelling returned. Thinking back on other posts...someone had asked whether Tylenol messed with Coumadin. I guess it does...yesterday I took a Darvocet (which is mostly Tylenol) and the swelling returned...
...I'll have to work a little harder elevating my "hoof" when ever possible...
...I'm having a war in my own head about what "normal was" vs what "normal now is"...
If you get started with them early then you may get a marginally better chance of avoiding permanent yuckiness.

Funny you should mention the compression stockings. I had brought it up to the dr. ...surprisingly he said no... because he thinks my DVTs are related to a tear of my meniscus. Go figure...how he gets from the knee injury to forming a clot is beyond me. I know it was the Yaz that caused my PE and DVTs
I think the dr. doesn't want to admit it was the Yaz, because he has Rx'd it to his other patients. (He was not the one that Rx'd for me).

...looks like my swelling has gone down, but does increase if I have an extra long day...
...just had a follow up (as was suggested wisely) by someone on this site....Looks like all my DVTs are gone....Thank goodness...
...also had high resolution CT...hope to have good results here too...
